Most web Designers now a days use expensive programs like Adobe Dreamweaver or Adobe Fireworks to create their web sites. Well these programs have a lot of functionality but they also have heavy price tag as well. As a starting out web designer I did not have access to programs like this until I had designed a couple sites. So I needed a way I could create my Web Designs with what I had when I started and that was a Laptop with Windows XP, an internet connection, and the willingness to learn. What I needed was a way I could layout the way I wanted my web page to look and then extract parts of the images for my web site.

Adobe has this neat little tool called the slice tool that you use to cut up your image so it will work in a web page. What I found was MS Paint is able to do this too, not as easily as Photoshop does it but it is still doable. So all you will need to start creating quality web pages, is Notepad, MS Paint, and Windows Calculator. So we will now open up MS Paint and go to “Image” and select “Attributes” or press Ctrl+E and change your size to 800×600 or what ever size you want your web page to be. Now go nuts and create a main background color using the paint can tool and create your banner, your image links down the side or at the top. Basically make this image look exactly how you want your web page to look, but do not add the content into the web page.

Now that you have your design done in MS Paint we will extract the images so that we can use them. The easiest way of doing this is to use the square select tool on the top right of your tool bar. Select this tool and then use it to select your first box which will be your first image. Once you have your image selected you are going to click “Edit” then “Copy” or do Ctrl+C. Next open up another instance of MS Paint and click “Edit” then “Paste” or Ctrl+V so our selection is now its own image. Make sure you grab the lower right box of the image and resize the canvas so there is now extra white showing around our image. Now save this image as something you will remember. We will now do this for everyone of the logical areas on our image, like each link will be its own image, any extra space will be an image, the entire area where you plane to put your content will be its own image.

Now that we have all of our images it’s time to put them together in to our web page. This can simply be done using tables and having a little bit of patients to make sure everything is sized correctly. You will first create a table that is going to be 800 in width, since that was the width of the original image we create. If you had a larger width in the original image you create make sure that your table will reflect that image. Next we want to make sure that border=”0″, cellpadding=”0″, and cellspacing=”0″ because we want everything to touch right up against each other. All of our images will be placed in the table accordingly so that we recreate the original image. When you create your links with images make sure that in the img tag you specify border=”0″ so you don’t get a blue border around the image.

Next is how we handle the content area of your web site and we have two ways we can do this. The first way is to take the image that we cut out and use that as our background for the td tag that will have our content in it. This way is a little easier but does increase the load time of the web page. The other way only works if your background for your content section is a solid color. Go back to MS Paint with the original image loaded on the screen and select the little toolbar button that looks like an eye dropper and click on the area of the image that will be your content. Doing this places that color into the paint program where we can look at it and edit it. Click on “Colors” then “Edit Colors…” and a window will open up where you click on “Define Custom Colors >>”. This will open a little side window where you can see the amount of Red, Green, and Blue being used. Copy these numbers down and click cancel on the “Edit Colors” window. Now open up your calculator and click “View” then “Scientific” so that you get all of the extra options with your calculator. To get the color we our web page we need to convert the decimal number we got from paint into HEX. So lets take the first number we wrote down and type it into our calculator and then click the radio button that says HEX. We now have the HEX equivalent of our decimal number. So we need to do this for all three numbers we copied down, example we have Red 56 Green 153 and Blue 23 once we convert these to HEX they are Red 38 Green 99 and Blue 17. So our code to set the background in our tr tag will be “#389917″.

So as you can probably see using MS Paint is a little more time consuming than using Photoshop to create your web pages. But it will cost you nothing more than a little bit of time until you can create enough web sites that you can purchase Photoshop or Fireworks. This will help you when becoming a vegetarian.

6. Decide if you want to convert gradually/quickly – and make a plan!

This way you would get the benefits sooner and know that you were doing it immediately might make you feel better, but you would need to have done some planning and be around people who are supportive of your decision and not have any major disruptions in your life.

The making a gradual change plan gives you time to plan when becoming a vegetarian. You’ll be more likely to stick to your new diet and you’ll have less disruption. However you need to make sure you don’t start eating unhealthily as a quick way to replace meat, for example with lots of cheese, eggs and high fat dairy foods. Also it’s a good idea not to take too long on going vegetarian altogether or you could end up not cutting out the meat completely.

If you want to cut out meat gradually, you could first cut out the red meat, then the chicken and finally the fish, choose whatever you think will suit you.

7. Beware Hidden Animal Products

Check the labels when buying food. Of course depending on where you live, the labelling will be better in some places than others. Look out for the “suitable for vegetarians” label.

There are many animal products used in everyday foods that make them unsuitable for vegetarians. The most common of these are:

Gelatin/gelatine – Protein from the bones, cartilage, tendons and bones of animals. Often found in desserts and yoghurts, but also some sweets and marshmallows.

When you see any tempting chocolate desserts check the label, in many cases it contains gelatine! The same goes for many yoghurts especially the low fat ones. Organic yoghurts and other dairy produce is more likely to be vegetarian.

Rennet – This comes from the stomach lining of slaughtered newly born calves. It is used in the making of cheese. However more cheeses are being made vegetarian all the time, they should be labelled as suitable for vegetarians but unfortunately aren’t always.

Animal Fat – Most often found in cakes and biscuits.

Cochineal (E120) – Red food colouring, found in some sweets, made from crushed insects – would you really want to eat that?

Eggs – Only buy free-range!

There are basically two types of Forex trading systems, mechanical and discretionary systems. The trading signals that come out of mechanical systems are mainly based off technical analysis applied in a systematic way. On the other hand, discretionary systems use experience, intuition or judgment on entries and exits. But which one produces better results? Or more importantly, which one fits better your trading style? These are the answers we will try to answer on this article.

We will first analyze the pros and cons about each system approach.

Mechanical systems

Advantages

This kind of system can be automated and backtested efficiently.

It has very rigid rules. Either, there is a trade or there isn’t.

Mechanical traders are less susceptible to emotions than discretionary traders.

Disadvantages

Most traders backtest Forex trading systems incorrectly. In order to produce accurate results you need tick data.

The Forex market is always changing. The Forex market (and all markets) has a random component. The market conditions may look similar, but they are never the same.

A system that worked successfully the past year doesn’t necessary mean it will work this year.

Discretionary systems

Advantages

Discretionary systems are easily adaptable to new market conditions.

Trading decisions are based on experience. Traders learn to see which trading signals have higher probability of success.

Disadvantages

They cannot be backtested or automated, since there is always a thought decision to be made.

It takes time to develop the experience required to trade successfully and track trades in a discretionary way. At early stages this can be dangerous.

Now, which approach is better for Forex traders? The one that fits better your personality. For instance, if you are a trader that finds it hard to follow your trading signals, then you are better off using a mechanical system, where your judgment won’t play an important role in your system. You only take the trades that your system signals.

If the psychological barriers that affect every trader (fear, greed, anger, etc.) puts you in unwanted scenarios, you are also better off trading mechanical systems, because you only need to follow what your system is telling you, go short, go long, close a trade. No other decision has to be made.

On the other hand, if you are a disciplined trader, then you are better off using a discretionary system, because discretionary systems adapt to the market conditions and you are able to change your trading conditions as the market changes. For instance, you have a target of 60 pips on a long trade. But the market suddenly starts trending up pretty strongly, then you could move your target to say 100 pips.

Does it mean that trading a discretionary system has no rules? This is absolutely incorrect. Trading discretionary systems means that once a trader finds his/her setup, the trader then decides what to do. But every trader still needs certain rules that need to be followed, such as the size of the position, conditions that have to be met before thinking to get in the market, and so on.

I am a discretionary trader. The main reason I chose a discretionary system is that my trades are based on price behavior, and as you already know, the price behaves similar to the past, but it is never identical, therefore the outcome of every trade is unknown. However, I do have rigid rules on my system, certain conditions have to be met before I even think in getting in a trade. This keeps me out of trouble, once my setup is present and in accordance with the rules I have set, then I closely watch the price behavior and finally decide whether it is a good opportunity or not.

Whether you choose to be a discretionary or a mechanical trader there are some important points you should take in consideration:

1. You need to make sure the Forex trading system you are using totally fits your personality. Otherwise you will find yourself outguessing your system.

2. You also need to have some rules and most importantly have the discipline to follow them.

3. Take your time to build the perfect system for you. It’s not easy and requires time and hard work, but at the end, if done correctly, it will give you consistent profitable results.

4. Before going live, try it on a demo account or even on a small account (I will go for the second option, since psychological barriers will be present.)

So, have you gone to the movies lately? Let’s face it, in this day and age, going to the movies isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. Recent studies have shown that box office ticket sales have steadily declined over the years and the reason is simple – years ago, if people wanted to see a movie, they had no other choice other than going to the theater. I don’t know about you, but I don’t remember the last time I had a pleasant “movie going” experience. Let’s look at what’s involved. First, you have to find out the times and the movies that are playing. Next you have to get in the car and drive to the theater giving yourself enough time to park, get your tickets, buy your popcorn, etc. Okay, now your all set and you enter the appropriate theater room and find your seat. The movie begins and here come the distractions. You have all the people straggling in that are late, fumbling around in the dark trying to find their seat, you have the whisperers, the plastic crinklers, the cell phone talkers … I think you get the point. By the way, I didn’t even mention the price of admission. Where I am from, it costs about $7.50 US Dollars per person. Bring your significant other, kids or whoever else and thow in the cost of snacks ….. This is Big Bucks!

I don’t go to the theater anymore, because now I have brought the theater to me. Yes, anytime I want to enjoy the movie experience (without the above aggravations), I simply change into my most comfortable lounging outfit and take the long trip down 13 steps into my gameroom , which I have transformed into a home theater. The advantages are unbelievable. I don’t have to drive anywhere, worry about parking, or deal with annoying people anymore. If I need to stop the movie to use the restroom or fix a quick snack, I just pause the movie and go do my thing.Yes, I still need to spend money on movies, but the prices of DVD’s have dropped tremendously and you can find many good deals on used DVD’s, which are just as good as a brand new one. Even the cost of a rental is at least half that of a theater ticket.

Don’t get me wrong, your going to have to shell out some bucks, but you can put together a decent set up for much less that you think. Basically, you need a flat screen tv and a surround system and you are good to go. How fancy you want to get all depends on your budget, but trust me, it will be a great investment in the long run. Don’t forget to keep all this in mind the next time your sitting at the theater and the kid next to you starts screaming out in the middle of the movie and the two teenagers in front of you wont shut up.

On the forex market we are trading currencies, exchanging a currency for another. So we buy a currency hoping its value will increase compared to the value of the one we are selling. Yes, we, at the same time, buying a currency and selling another currency. An example may be a little more understandable.

We have dollars and want to buy euros. The pair traded here is EUR/USD, and the exchange rate is 1.25. You can read it like this : 1 euro equals 1.25 dollar. We hope that the euro value will be higher so that later we will buy more dollar. The exchange rate increase to 1.35, in this case we bought 1 euro using 1.25 dollar, and it now equals to 1.35 dollar. So we exchange our 1 euro back into dollars and now have 1.35.

We bought 1 euro for $1.25 and sell it back for $1.35, we made a 10 cents profit. Of course on the forex market you will not buy only one euro, this will be few hundreds or thousands, depending on your budget and the leverage offered by the broker.

Exchange rates are always moving. When I say that you “hope” the value will increase, many factors can be used to predict the rate, based on technical or fundamental analysis. This is not the topic of this article so let’s have another example of a selling trade.

We take the same pair (EUR/USD) as above starting with the same exchange rate (1.25). We want to sell euros so we can buy it later at a lower price. Here we hope, or know that the value of the euro will depreciate. We sell one euro for $1.25. The exchange rate drops to 1.15. That means that now we only need 1.15 to buy our euro back. We exchange our dollars back into euros and again, make a 10 cents profit.

When you buy or sell, you always buy or sell the base currecy. The base currency is the first one in the pair. In the pair EUR/USD, the base currency is the euro and the USD is called the quote currency. When you decide to buy, you buy euro and sell dollars. When you decide to sell, you sell euros and buy dollars.

Think that you always need to exchange something two times. If you buy something and want to make a profit from it, you would prefer to sell it at a higher price. And so, if you are selling something that you will need to buy again, you would prefer to have it at a lower price.
